Hi, I'm Emily Bagnall.
I am a graphic designer who has recently graduated with a BA in Graphic Communication at the University of Reading. Diligent, proactive and passionate about design, I take great care with all my projects, aiming to always problem solve in a creative and logical way. I have a keen interest in information design and UX design.
Some projects I've worked on
As part of the Typography and Graphic Communication department's Real Jobs scheme at Reading, I have had the opportunity to work with clients such as Psychology researchers at the University of Oxford and the Environment Agency.
The first was the CoRAY Project, which investigated the impact of COVID-19 on young people's mental health. For this project, I had the chance to work with a great team from a range of organisations such as BBC Bitesize, Headliners UK and Fully Focused. My partner and I produced co-branded guidelines and social media templates based on user testing and workshops with young people.
Another project I had the opportunity to work on was with the Environment Agency's Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management team (FCERM). For this project, my partner and I developed two analogies to better explain Adaptation Pathways to users. The first was a chess analogy and the second was an agile ninja!
International Institute of Information Design (IIID) summer school
I have recently completed a summer school with IIID and the Simplification Centre on information design. This was an amazing experience as I was able to learn more about information design and how the practice extends beyond graphic design, into a wide variety of disciplines.
